3^rd December 2008 – 4 point safety harness approved

In our ongoing pursuit of pilot safety, we have developed and structurally tested a 4 point safety harness

This option is for the pilot seat only and available for M16 and M22.

The new seat is manufactured using carbon-fibre composite and has surpassed all the structural requirements and is interchangeable with the standard seat as fitted in the M16 and M22.

November 2008 – M24 ORION production

The manufacture of 10 preproduction series M24 ORION’S is well underway.

These 10 gyros will form the platform for improvements that will culminate in the commercial production of the M24 ORION during 2009.

Deliveries of the preproduction series M24 have been assigned to selected customers and we are happy to report that they are very pleased with all the aspects of the M24, including the technical standard, legendary Magni build quality, development strategy and safe flying and handling characteristics.

10^th October 2008- 500^th Magni leaves the factory.

Another important target has been achieved!

The 500^th autogyro leaves the factory in Besnate! The 500^th gyro also happens to be the 4^th preproduction series M24 ORION. This M24 will be going to France.

Magni Gyro and its staff wish to thank the many loyal customers and pilots flying our gyros worldwide, in the knowledge that the skilled Magni team approach their daily task with great pride and professionalism.

29^th July 2008

The first preproduction series M24 ORION is unveiled at Vichy (FRANCE).

This beautiful aircraft compliments its two pedigreed stable mates, the M16 and M22.

July 2008 - M16 and M22 Country version

Following various requests from clients and operators, we officially introduce the M16 and M22 COUNTRY versions.

The main difference to the standard version is the use of larger and high quality tyres which allows operation typically encountered on rough and softer surfaces.

The COUNTRY version is particularly suited when the need arises to operate from beaches or desert areas.

The front fork has been modified to allow the use of a larger tyre.

The COUNTRY version cannot be equipped with main wheel pants due to the larger tyre dimensions and consequently it is not advisable to operate from muddy fields.

Aircraft weight is slightly higher due to the larger tyres and tubes. An additional amount of drag will be encountered using this option, however the compromise is in the improved ground handling on rough or sandy surfaces.

This version is particularly suited to South African and Australian conditions were the need arises.

6^th June 2008 - The first M24 ORION flies at Casaleggio’s field!

The first flight tests of the preproduction M24 ORION are undertaken at dusk.

January 2008 - New TAIL

We continually strive to improve our products and the tail section is no exception.

As per the Magni tradition, comprehensive tests followed the evaluation for a need to improve the tail.

This was then followed by the manufacture of new moulds and production of the new tail.

The new tail is 100% interchangeable with the earlier model and will be used on all the models with the exception of the M18 which uses a smaller tail.

For the more technically minded, the modifications are an increase in dihedral of the horizontal stabilizer, and decrease of the lower protuberances of the vertical winglets to increase the ground clearance.

The airfoils have been modified to increase the aerodynamics and surfaces appear aesthetically more elegant, thus keeping the original and unmistakable design and strength of the tail section.

March 2008 - M16 cockpit in carbon fire

The M16 cockpit in carbon fibre is officially available. Due to the introduction of new production technologies, the M16 is now available with a carbon fibre cockpit reducing the weight by 5 kilos. Reducing the weight improves performance and the use of carbon fibre is an advance technologically.

15^th June 2007 - New Maintenace Manual . For a better assistance and a better interaction with the customer , Magni Gyro makes available a new maintenance manual for own products . In fact, Magni's Gyro owners, could apply for the manual CD sending shipment references and own autogyro serial number to info@magnigyro.it . The Maintenace Manual , edited for the M-16 is valid also for the M-22 Voyager and M-14 Scout .

1^st January 2008 - Magni Gyro Srl relocates to new premises!!

After 8 years of intensive business activity at the Via Puccini factory where more than 300 gyros were produced, Magni Gryo Srl. relocates.

The new factory is only a step away from the Via Puccini factory but a giant leap in terms of factory and office space.

This development is proof of our confidence in the future of Magni Gyro and our customers. It will allow us to increase our production rate, offer improved maintenance facilities and allow our R & D to prosper.

The composite, steel structure and assembly departments utilize 1900 m² on the ground floor level.

Executive, administration, commercial, technical offices and a flight training school lecture room are located on the second floor level.

“We wish to take this opportunity to wish everybody the best for 2008”, we apologize to all our friends and customers for any inconvenience during the last weeks of the year 2007, due to difficulties experienced in contacting us.

The telecomm problem has now been resolved.

15^th April 07 - The XM23 has been flown successfully for 25 hours. The development and finalising of this prototype is quickly growing. Tests will continue in Summer and results will lead to the definition of the final configuration while testing the reliability of each component of this new Magni Gyroplane.

31^st March 2007 – In the first 3 months of 2007 Magni Gyro has produced 19 gyroplanes.

25^th February 2007 –Injection, at last!!! A new important project has started; a cooperation between Magni Gyro and Piero Brambilla. The M-16 I-7026 has now a new engine: a Rotax 912ULS with an innovative injection system.

1^st February 2007 -It flies in great secret to Casaleggio, after a year from the first designs, the new prototype Magni Gyro...... XM-23 Orion.

5^th January 2007 -An other great goal has been achieved by Magni Gyro; the 4-hundredth Magni gyroplane has been prepared by the workshop of Besnate. It is a gaudy colours “plumage” M22 Voyager , this gyroplane will take Italian registration!!

23^rd December 2006 – Just before Xmas we’ve tested the sixtieth gyroplane produced in 2006. An M16 that will soon leave for Mexico.

18^th November 2006 – Test flight of the fiftieth M-22 Voyager produced. The Voyager model was born in February 2005 and it has got an immediate success on the world wide market. Nowadays this model covers about the 60% of Magni Gyro production.

28^th October 2006 - Test flight for the fiftieth gyroplane manufactured by Magni Gyro since the beginning of 2006.
31^th October 2006 – In October Magny Gyro reported record output... 7 new Magni Gyros flying!!!
